Well, after waiting and waiting, I finally decided just to buy the albums separately since that seems to be the only way these will ever be available. If you are a big Rush fan, you MUST own "Rush", "Fly By Night", "Caress of Steel", and "2112". When I was in junior high in the mid-70s, Rush was THE band. The songs from these albums are best heard live, like on "All the World's a Stage" to be fully appreciated. Required listening for new and longtime fans. I remember buying their first three albums in one package on cassette under the title "Archives". Since the advent of CDs, I've been hoping that it would once again become available in this form.
The first album and in my opinion the very best If you like Rush do not miss out on this great bunch of tunes.
The guitar and bass are amazing on this Cd. "Before Neil Peart entered the Rush scene this album was released. Yes this is all true, but what makes this album so good are the songs like "Finding my way" and "Working man".Probably took Geedy and Alex most of their lives up till then to write these songs, but it's all classic rock and a solid beginning The drumming isn't bad, but Neil is much better". It's not as good as all the other early Rush music, but it still has got some really solid songs. The only thing absent is Neil's excellent drumming and Neil's beautiful song writing.
DV They were one of my favourite groups when I was a kid. and still are now.
Great start. And look, we all know this isn't Peart on drums, but Rustey still opened the band in AN AWESOME WAY. At least this band made their own lyrics. Well you know what.
I don't care what anyone says about this album. Five stars. It would've been worse if they covered Zeppelin. IT IS GREAT.
WHO CARES. Enough SAID. A Great start for my favorite band. RIP Rustey. And some people criticize the album because it sounds too much like Led Zeppelin.
